Utah: A weekend in Moab-Utah
The trip to Moab-Utah was joyful and adventurous. Moab is one of the small towns of Southern Utah and is best for nature lovers and those who love
quiet environment. There are no fancy resorts or big development here. Rather, there are only one main street which is lined with all little shops, and family-owned restaurants and outfitters. We pondered how these residents in this town could live their lives in such a very small community.
However, the most interesting and satisfying aspects of our trip was the amazing view of colorful desert and stunning rock formation. It was the experienced of a lifetime for us. Everywhere is surrounded by beautiful red rock canyons and almost all dirt roads. There are two terribly beautiful national parks found in Moab, Arches National Park (one of the park’s most photographed spots) and Canyonlands National Park (Island in the Sky), which provide tourists great opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and water rafting.
Arches and Canyonlands are practically closed to each other. When we got to the Delicate Arch, hoping to hike near it and shoot some closed pictures. But we never made it to the Arches. Beside these two parks, we also dragged ourselves to visit Grand View Point, Dead Horse Point State Park. We were fascinated by the passing scenery, the grand mountains, and the interesting landscape of the nature.
We have realized that tourism and outdoor recreation in this region is becoming very popular for people with all ages and as well as retirees. These parks not only feature some of most spectacular scenery but also provide cool places that tourist can camp with their vehicles.
